
Turkmenistan has invited Armin Laschet, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag, and members of the German delegation to visit the country at their convenience. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, on Wednesday in Berlin during a joint meeting between Armin Laschet and delegations from the foreign policy agencies of Central Asian countries.
The parties spoke highly of the dynamic development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The importance of further strengthening relations between the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as intensifying the work of relevant parliamentary friendship groups, was emphasized. In this regard, an initiative was put forward to explore the possibility of organizing regular meetings between the leaders and representatives of the parliaments of the two countries. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas.
The Bundestag is the lower house of the German parliament and the country's primary legislative body, which passes laws, oversees the work of the federal government, approves the state budget, and elects the chancellor.
