Chinese President Xi Jinping presented with an Akhal-Teke horse named Gadyrly

As part of a friendly visit to China, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, presented an Akhal-Teke horse named Gadyrly to the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

Xi Jinping accepted the magnificent gift with gratitude, noting that Akhal-Teke horses are held in high esteem in China. The leader of the friendly nation also emphasized that Turkmenistan is the homeland of the famous Akhal-Teke horses and recalled that 12 years ago, he was also presented with an Akhal-Teke horse named Gahryman.

The President of the PRC, citing the wise Turkmen proverbs "A horse is a goal achieved" and "Where a horse has rolled, there will be a celebration," stated that receiving the horse Gadyrly on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan is a great honor not only for himself but for the entire Chinese people, and expressed his gratitude once again.

As noted in the report, a horse has historically been considered the most valuable among diplomatic gifts.

Furthermore, during the visit, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov handed Xi Jinping an invitation letter from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him.
