The youth of Turkmenistan can take advantage of a new opportunity to pursue higher education in Germany. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is accepting applications for scholarship-funded master's degree programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for the 2027–2028 academic year.
This program is also available to citizens of Turkmenistan who meet the relevant criteria. It is intended for university graduates wishing to continue their education in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering fields.
Candidates must hold a first higher education degree recognized in Germany—a bachelor's degree. It is also noted that applicants must not hold a master's degree by the application deadline.
The scholarship is awarded for full-time master's studies at one of Germany's public or state-recognized higher education institutions. The chosen study program must be tuition-free and begin in the winter semester of the 2027–2028 academic year.
Selected students receive financial support under the program in the following forms:
a monthly allowance of 992 euros;
health insurance;
accident and personal liability insurance;
an annual study allowance of 460 euros.
Where necessary, there is also the possibility of covering travel expenses, as well as receiving additional support related to housing or family members.
DAAD does not pay tuition fees; therefore, candidates must choose tuition-free master's programs.
Candidate selection takes into account academic performance, the relevance of previous education to the chosen field, language proficiency, professional experience, social engagement, the quality of the submitted study plan, and future academic and professional goals.
Candidates must provide a document confirming knowledge of German or English in accordance with the study program's requirements. A minimum language proficiency level of B1 is required at the time of application.
The application deadline is set for September 24, 2026. Documents are accepted through the DAAD electronic portal.
Turkmen applicants are advised to review the official program details, country-specific requirements, and the complete list of necessary documents before submitting an application.
This DAAD scholarship program offers Turkmen youth an important opportunity to study at leading German higher education institutions, enhance international experience, and expand academic and professional horizons.
