Jeren Babanazarova, Deputy Director of the private enterprise “Khazar Merjeni”: Caring for the younger generation to grow as scientifically educated, broad-minded, physically and spiritually developed individuals forms the core of the state policy carried out by Heroic Arkadag and the Heroic Leader. In the era of Revival of the new age of our Stable Homeland, all conditions are created for young people to study and develop in modern schools, becoming well-rounded personalities.
In this context, actively involving students in school excursions in educational institutions across the country contributes to enhancing their knowledge, fostering patriotism and humanitarian values. As is known, the natural beauty and uniqueness of our country attract global scholars’ attention, and historical monuments connected to the heroic past of our people are found in every region, including every village.
Some of these ancient monuments and elements of national heritage, which reveal the humanitarian traditions and skills of our people, have been included in the UNESCO list of Outstanding Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, highlighting the international recognition of our history and national traditions.
Ancient fortresses and monuments, bearing witness to the heroic path of our ancestors and drawing interest from leading historians and archaeologists, as well as nature’s gifts, serve as exemplary lessons in patriotism and upbringing for the younger generation. School excursions provide students with opportunities to connect school knowledge and information from literary and internet sources with real nature, history, and life, developing analytical thinking, questioning skills, and broad perspectives.
Moreover, such activities contribute to forming active and initiative-driven individuals, helping young people find direction in life and deepen their understanding of nature and historical events. School tourism encourages creativity, independent thinking, teamwork skills, and the growth of spiritual and moral qualities.
Outdoor walks, hikes to the foot of mountains or along rivers, and active games help strengthen health, demonstrating the importance of combining tourism with physical education and sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The rich and beautiful nature of our country, ancient monuments, and fortresses serve as a natural “open classroom,” enriching knowledge and perspectives of the younger generation. From this point of view, the use of school tourism in teachers’ creative research and future projects will support healthy development of youth and the in-depth study of our homeland’s nature and glorious history.
