A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Seyed Mostafa Hosseinipur, the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of Mary.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Consul General presented his consular patent. The leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan presented him with a consular exequatur.

During the meeting, the parties discussed important issues of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation, as well as prospects for further developing friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran assured that he would make every necessary effort to further strengthen bilateral relations and intensify consular cooperation between the two countries.
