Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo could take part in an AFC Champions League match in Uzbekistan. Following the draw held in Kuala Lumpur, it was revealed that Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, for which Ronaldo plays, will face Pakhtakor in Tashkent.

As part of the league stage of the 2026/27 AFC Champions League season, Pakhtakor will host Al-Nassr on November 2. If Ronaldo takes part in the match, it could be one of his first visits to Uzbekistan and is expected to attract significant attention from football fans.

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and captain of the Portugal national team, is one of the most famous players in world football. Therefore, his appearance on the pitch in the match in Tashkent could become one of the main events of the AFC tournament.

Following the draw, Pakhtakor’s other opponents in the league stage were also determined. The Tashkent club will host Iran’s Esteghlal and Tractor, as well as Saudi Arabia’s Al-Qadsiah, at home.

Pakhtakor secured a place in the league stage of the AFC Champions League after defeating Jordan’s Al-Hussein 3–0.

The AFC Champions League draw also created the possibility of a match between Al-Hilal, featuring renowned French footballer Karim Benzema, and Uzbekistan’s Neftchi. The match could be played in the city of Fergana.

At present, the match between Pakhtakor and Al-Nassr is scheduled to take place in Tashkent on November 2. However, the dates and venues listed for the matches are still provisional.
