Democratic principles are celebrated

In our country, the principles of people’s power continue to be upheld. In this context, the elections scheduled for March 29, in the Year of «Independent, everlasting Neutral Turkmenistan — the land of swift, strong horses», are of special importance for the democratic development of the nation. These elections, conducted in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Election Code, and international democratic principles, aim to improve local governance and ensure that the will of the people is reflected in important decisions.

Within the framework of highly organized elections in our province, elections will be held for members of the people’s councils in Döwletli, Garabekewül, and Farap districts, as well as for deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the provincial people’s council, and councils who have left their positions early. As a result, 2 deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 1 member of the provincial people’s council, and 36 council members will be elected. In addition, 20 members of each district people’s council will be elected in the newly created Döwletli, Garabekewül, and Farap districts.

To ensure high standards, openness, and transparency, extensive preparations are currently underway in the province. On election day, 181 polling stations will operate, with approximately 200,000 residents expected to participate.

At the same time, under the leadership of the Central Election Commission, training meetings are being held with chairpersons of district, precinct, city, and town election commissions, responsible representatives of provincial, district, and city administrations, and leaders of political parties and public organizations. These meetings cover issues related to the Constitution and Election Code of Turkmenistan, international democratic principles, election law, and ensuring fair and transparent elections.

Well-organized elections enhance citizens’ civic and political activity. It is important to note that all conditions are being created for voters to choose the most deserving candidates. Under the wise leadership of our Arkadag, we will continue to contribute significantly to the successful implementation of comprehensive programs aimed at the socio-economic development of our homeland.
