Since 2000, “Dragon Oil” has operated as the sole operator of the Cheleken Contract Area in Turkmenistan’s sector of the Caspian Sea. The company has developed the necessary offshore and onshore infrastructure for production and oil processing, as well as for storage and export, at the Jeitun and Jygalybeg fields.
The extension of the Production Sharing Agreement for Cheleken until 2035 enables the company to continue its long-term plans in production, geological exploration, technology and infrastructure.
“Dragon Oil” is currently conducting new geological exploration activities near its existing facilities. This creates conditions for developing new oil opportunities by relying on the existing infrastructure.
As a partner of the “OGT 2026” international conference, “Dragon Oil” is participating in discussions on the development of Turkmenistan’s offshore fields in the Caspian Sea, the use of new technologies, the expansion of geological exploration activities and the development of international cooperation.
Overall, “Dragon Oil’s” more than 20 years of experience in Turkmenistan, the agreement extended until 2035, and the existing production infrastructure remain among the key conditions for developing new opportunities in Turkmenistan’s sector of the Caspian Sea in the future.
