E-book Market Grew by 45 Percent

Russia's book market grew significantly in 2025. Last year, 111 billion rubles (+13 percent) was earned from book sales in Russia. During the reporting period, sales of paper books remained at their previous level. However, sales of e-books increased by 45 percent compared to the previous figure.

In 2025, the number of paper books sold reached 233 million, while e-books totaled 153 million units. The majority of books were purchased by the population from marketplaces (54 percent) and bookstores (16.4 percent).
