The launch of the electronic visa service (e-Visa) in Turkmenistan has made it easier for foreign delegates to enter the country to attend the international exhibition and conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026.” Nazar Atajanov, Director of Turkmen Energy Forum (TEF), announced this at a press conference dedicated to the event’s outcomes.
According to him, the electronic visa service has simplified the organizers’ work in receiving international participants. The State Migration Service of Turkmenistan directly informs visa applicants about the status of their applications and any changes that occur during processing. Applicants are also given the opportunity to pay the relevant fees independently.
Nazar Atajanov also noted that SIM cards with free internet access were distributed to foreign guests upon arrival to help them stay connected throughout the forum. This enabled delegates to keep in regular contact with their families and loved ones.
As previously reported by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, the introduction of the electronic visa system in the country began on October 1, 2026. The new service is designed to help foreign nationals save time, establish electronic document processing and complete the relevant procedures more quickly and through a simplified process.
The international exhibition and conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026” was held in Ashgabat from October 21 to 23. Approximately 1,700 delegates from 75 countries attended the event, representing more than 450 companies and international organizations.
The international forum was organized by the state concerns Turkmengas and Turkmennebit, the Turkmengeology State Corporation, and Turkmen Energy Forum.
The use of the e-Visa service represents an important opportunity to simplify documentation procedures for foreign participants attending international events and to promote Turkmenistan’s international business relations.
