
Turkmenistan has become one of the leading countries in Eurasia for attracting Asian investments. According to the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), between 2016 and 2025, the total volume of investments directed to the country reached USD 20.6 billion.
Central Asian countries attracted 57% of all Asian investments directed to Eurasia, with a total volume of USD 68 billion. Uzbekistan received the largest share at USD 22.6 billion, while Kazakhstan attracted USD 19.3 billion.
China is the largest investor, with investments totaling USD 66.1 billion. ASEAN countries contributed approximately USD 9 billion, most of which went to Central Asia.
During this period, the total volume of mutual investments between Eurasian countries and their Asian partners reached USD 176 billion. The main sector for new investments was power generation, with over USD 10 billion allocated.
