The construction of a new enterprise producing electric buses and, in the future, electric trucks has been launched in the Yazyavon district of the Fergana region, Uzbekistan. The project is being implemented jointly with the Chinese companies "Xiang Yang Tenglong Automobile" and "GIG Investments".

At the initial stage of the project, the production of electric buses will be established. In the future, with the expansion of the enterprise's production capacity, it is also planned to manufacture trucks operating on electric energy.

The new production enterprise will be located on a 10-hectare plot within the special industrial zone in the "Izhodkor" makhalla of the Yazyavon district. The total cost of the project is estimated at 170 million dollars.

According to the project, a production capacity allowing the manufacture of 700 electric buses per year will be created at the enterprise. The commissioning of the enterprise is expected in December 2027.

It is planned that the manufactured electric buses will be supplied not only to the domestic market of Uzbekistan, but also to foreign markets. This demonstrates that the new enterprise is expected to contribute to expanding the country's export potential.

It is noted that the project will help increase the industrial potential of the Fergana region, introduce modern production technologies, and create new jobs.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the Hokim of the Fergana region, Khairullo Bozorov, entrepreneurs and investors, public representatives, and labor veterans. During the event, the first stone in the foundation of the new enterprise was laid, and construction work was officially launched.

This new project will become one of the important manufacturing initiatives within the framework of efforts to develop electric vehicle production in Uzbekistan and increase the share of modern, environmentally friendly vehicles.
