American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk shared a video presentation on the X platform outlining the design for a massive new semiconductor manufacturing facility named "Terafab," planned for Texas. Quoting the release, Gazeta.ru reported Musk describing "Terafab" as set to become "the world's largest and most valuable building."

According to documentation published on the SpaceX website, the new facility will span an enormous 9.3 million square meters, positioning "Terafab" as the largest chip manufacturing plant on Earth.

Musk intends to utilize chips produced at the facility to power:

  • Cybercab robotaxis

  • Humanoid "Optimus" robots

  • Space-based data processing centers managed by SpaceX

The business proposal submitted by SpaceX to local authorities estimates the total cost of the project at $119 billion.
