Emeev: Rakhmonov can be the biggest threat to Makhachev

Russian ACA middleweight Ramazan Emeev named Shavkat Rakhmonov as the toughest potential opponent for UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev.

Emeev said that Rakhmonov is tall, physically strong and has solid wrestling skills. He added that he regularly spars with Makhachev and sees his continuous improvement.

According to Emeev, Makhachev has become physically stronger, improved his conditioning, and recovers faster. He believes Makhachev can remain champion for at least three more years.

Islam Makhachev last fought in November 2025 at UFC 322, defeating Jack Della Maddalena by unanimous decision. His professional record is 28 wins and one loss.
