The volume of natural gas extracted by the Italian company Eni in Turkmenistan in 2025 reached 22 billion cubic feet (≈623 million cubic meters). In 2024, this figure for the company was 3 billion cubic feet (≈85 million cubic meters). This was reported in the 2025 annual report of the Italian oil and gas company Eni.
According to the annual report, oil production amounted to 2 million barrels, while the total production of hydrocarbons increased from 3 million to 5 million barrels (in oil equivalent).
According to the company's report, the average daily gas production increased approximately tenfold, reaching 61.5 million cubic feet (≈1.74 million cubic meters) per day. This figure was 6.6 million cubic feet (≈0.19 million cubic meters) in 2024.
Also, in 2025, the total production of hydrocarbons amounted to 14,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. In 2024, 7,000 barrels of hydrocarbons in oil equivalent were extracted daily.
As part of the activities carried out in the country, the main focus was on the drilling of nine intensification and appraisal wells. In addition, five wells were re-equipped for water injection into the reservoir. This provides a great opportunity to maintain pressure in the fields and increase the extraction of hydrocarbons.
