In the Year of “Independent, Ever Neutral Turkmenistan — the Land of Noble Horses,” Turkmen entrepreneurs achieve success in various sectors of our national economy, including agriculture. Nowadays, private greenhouses produce large batches of in-demand vegetables and fruits, which is a significant achievement of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
One of these successful entrepreneurs is a member of the Union, Babasadyk Chüriýew, whose greenhouse complex is located within the “Viticulture” farmers’ association in the Gökdepe district of Ahal Province. Under a long-term state allocation, 6 hectares of land were assigned to the entrepreneur, of which 3 hectares are occupied by the greenhouse complex. All necessary conditions have been created for successful cultivation, helping the workers efficiently carry out their tasks.
On a plot of 0.35 hectares, the entrepreneur grows cucumbers highly demanded by the population, and the work is carried out in stages. The complex produces an average of 1–1.5 tons of cucumbers per day. This indicates a high level of operational efficiency. In particular, in 2025, the greenhouse complex harvested over 450 tons of cucumbers. Of this, 420 tons were supplied to domestic consumers, while more than 30 tons were exported to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
In January of this year, as part of the 35th anniversary of our sacred independence, more than 35 tons of cucumbers were harvested. 31 tons of the final product were sent to domestic markets, trade points, and distribution centers, while the remaining 4 tons were exported. Eco-friendly and tasty cucumbers branded “Tokayçy” enjoy strong demand.
It is worth noting that entrepreneur Babasadyk Chüriýew has also established the production of compost, a valuable organic fertilizer for cucumbers. This allows obtaining harvests without the need for expensive chemical fertilizers. Compost is made from residues from forestry, woodworking, and other sectors. Thus, the entrepreneur effectively utilizes the greenhouse complex and local producers, reducing the cost of cucumbers and providing consumers with affordable prices, making a significant contribution to the economy.
