
An information session dedicated to "Horizon Europe", the European Union's key funding programme for research and innovation, was organized at the International University for the Humanities and Development.
The meeting was held with the participation of Ksenia Savchenko, a representative of the European Commission's "Global Service Facility" (GSF). She provided the audience with a comprehensive and detailed overview of the work plans and activities of the "Horizon Europe" programme for the years 2026–2027.
The event, featuring the expert, provided an opportunity for representatives of the scientific community to significantly expand their knowledge regarding the structure of the EU programme, funding opportunities for research and innovation, our country's participation in this programme, as well as the terms and regulations for scientists and innovation professionals from Central Asian countries.
At the end of the session, a thorough exchange of views took place, and the EU programme representative answered all questions of interest to the participants.
The "Horizon Europe" programme is aimed at addressing global challenges such as climate change, sustainable development, energy, healthcare, and increasing the competitiveness of the EU economy.
The programme envisages investments to support research and innovation in these areas and is open to scientists and innovators from EU countries, associated participating states, as well as Central Asian countries.
The "Global Service Facility" (GSF) is a component and service tool of this programme, aimed at supporting international cooperation within the framework of "Horizon Europe" missions and effectively implementing and promoting the programme's initiatives.
