
On the first day of spring, the final stage of the "Woman of the Year" contest, announced by the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan on the occasion of International Women's Day, was held at the Public Organizations Center in the capital. As reported by the "Turkmenistan" newspaper, 56 talented and hardworking women from the provinces, Ashgabat, and Arkadag cities participated in the final competition.
In accordance with the terms of the competition, which was filled with the festive spirit of this glorious year, they competed in 8 categories. A jury composed of leading women of our country fairly evaluated the participants' social activity and achievements in labor and creativity. Taking into account the years of honest labor and high results achieved by the women, the winners were announced.
According to the results, Guljemal Soltanova, director of the Children and Youth Creativity House of the Main Education Department of Balkan province, was named "Businesswoman of the Year," and Guljan Amanmyradova, a resident of Bagban village in the Beruni geneshlik of Shabat etrap, Dashoguz province, was named "Compassionate Woman of the Year." Shirin Tejenova, a nurse at the "Emergency Medicine" center of the Health Department of Arkadag city, who stood out for her unique talent and craftsmanship, was declared "Artisan Woman of the Year," while Jennet Akmyradova, dance group leader at the Children and Youth Creativity House of Dostluk city in Dovletli etrap, Lebap province, was named "Active Woman in Art of the Year." Furthermore, Mahri Jojykova, manager of the "Merv" greenhouse in Mary etrap, Mary province, was selected as "Entrepreneur Woman of the Year" for her activity in the private sector, and Oraztach Nuryeva, a teacher at Kindergarten No. 165 in Ashgabat, was chosen as "Mentor Woman of the Year." In this glorious year, Ogulsuray Huseynkulyeva, representing the Ak Bugday etrap police department of the Ahal province Police Directorate, was declared "Patriotic Woman of the Year," and Tawus Hudayberdiyeva, a tenant of the "Bayramaly" farmers' association in Garagum etrap, Mary province, received the title of "Leading Rural Woman of the Year."
At the end of the ceremony, the skilled women who won the final stage of the contest were ceremoniously presented with Certificates of Honor and gifts on behalf of the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan.
