
In the near future, the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Repair Yard plans to construct two Ro-Ro type ferry vessels and three dry cargo ships. This was reported on Friday by the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan.
Currently, the construction of two dry cargo ships and one dredging vessel is underway at the “Balkan” shipyard.
According to the report, since its commissioning, the yard has carried out repair works on a number of vessels of various purposes, with all orders completed on time and to a high standard of quality.
The “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Repair Yard is designed to process up to 10,000 tons of steel annually and build 4–6 new vessels, as well as process 2,000 tons of steel per year and repair 20–30 vessels.
