High growth indicators are being achieved in the food industry of the Lebap region. During the first seven months of 2026, groat production increased from 14,741 tons to 17,484 tons—a rise of 2,743 tons, or 18.6%. This sector demonstrated one of the highest growth rates in the regional food industry over the seven-month period.
Flour production also achieved notable results. During the reported period, 66,100 tons of flour were produced in the region, representing an increase of 8,700 tons, or 15.2%, compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the production of pasta products grew by 1.2%. The figures were reported by the newspaper Türkmen gündogary.
