A specialized cable shipment weighing 80 tons, intended for the construction of a cable car, arrived in Uzbekistan from France, traveling in transit through the territory of Turkmenistan.
According to Alexandra Ogneva, the company's project manager for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, who shared the news on her social media page, the cargo was dispatched from the port of Sète (France) via the Middle Corridor through Istanbul, and then through Alyat (Azerbaijan) and Turkmenbashi. The specialized cable shipment passed through the desert regions of Turkmenistan and finally reached Tashkent.
Such projects clearly demonstrate that the Middle Corridor is becoming a reliable logistical support for the entire region, Ogneva noted.
The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) connects European and Asian countries, passing through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. This route is used for container freight transport via rail and sea.
