Futsal Super League: Second Round Matches Kick Off in Mary
The second round of the preliminary stage of the 2026 Turkmenistan Futsal Super League has commenced at the sports complex of the 1st Sports School in Mary. Eight of the country's strongest teams are competing for the championship title in the tournament, which started with the 4th round of matches.
In the preliminary stage, the futsal players are divided into two groups. The first round matches were held in the Lebap region, while the second round continues in Mary:
- Group A: "Kopetdag," "Farap," "Senagatbank," "Gumrukchi."
- Group B: "Denizchi," "Nesil," "Migration," "TKNPZ."
According to the regulations, the top two teams from each group will advance directly to the final stage. The remaining teams will play additional matches for 5th and 6th places, which also offer a chance to participate in the final round.
On the first day of the second round, Group A matches took place. The reigning champion, "Kopetdag," defeated "Farap" with a dominant 16:1 score. In the other match, "Senagatbank" managed to beat "Gumrukchi" 8:6.
Tense matches were also seen in Group B:
- "Denizchi" secured a confident 5:0 victory over "Nesil."
- "Migration" defeated "TKNPZ" with a score of 4:2.
After the 4th round, "Kopetdag" leads Group A with 12 points. "Senagatbank" and "Migration" share the following positions with 6 points each. In Group B, "Migration" and "Denizchi" hold the lead with 9 points each.
The 2026 Turkmenistan Futsal Champion will be determined in the final stage featuring six teams, which will be held in the autumn.
