According to the "World Oil Outlook" annual strategic report prepared by experts of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), global oil demand will increase significantly in 2027. The organization's analysis predicts that daily oil demand in 2027 will reach 107.86 million barrels. This figure indicates that the demand for the production of oil, known as "black gold," will be equal to 106.52 million barrels in 2027. As OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais noted, the bulk of this growth will come from countries outside the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), primarily from emerging economies. Additionally, the OPEC report states that in 2027, the overall economic growth in all sectors of the world will increase by an average of 3.2 percent. Energy experts emphasize that the consistent direction of investment into the oil industry remains a key condition for ensuring global energy security.
