
The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT) held a meeting with members of a delegation led by Mullah Faizullah Tamim, the head of the Afghanistan National Standards Authority. This was reported by the CCIT Press Service.
During the meeting held on February 27, important directions for developing trade and economic relations were discussed, including opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of standardization, certification, and quality assurance of goods. The parties noted the vital importance of compliance with quality requirements in increasing mutual trade turnover.
During the meeting, the significance of the Afghan Goods Exhibition, successfully held in Ashgabat on March 4, 2024, was particularly emphasized. This exhibition provided an opportunity to develop direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries and opened new avenues for cooperation.
The report notes that the meeting was an important step aimed at further strengthening Turkmen-Afghan cooperation.
