
On February 25, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, participated in a meeting between the heads of the foreign policy departments of Central Asian countries and the UK Minister of State for Defence, Lord Rodney Coaker. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of regional security, strengthening mutual understanding, as well as the development of dialogue between the Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience in the field of specialist training, as well as the improvement of mechanisms for responding to modern threats and challenges. Participants of the event emphasized the importance of continuing constructive and trust-based cooperation aimed at strengthening stability and security at both regional and international levels.
On the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, attended a meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of Central Asian countries with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, Lindsay Hoyle.
