In Turkmenistan, the International Women's Day holiday has been moved to March 9

At a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on shifting the day off in honor of International Women's Day.

According to the "Watan News" program, the document was adopted in accordance with Part 2 of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, moving the day off from March 8, 2026 (Sunday), to March 9 — Monday.

In accordance with the document, all institutions, enterprises, and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, must ensure the implementation of this Decree.
