The new mineral fertilizer production complex at the S. A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat will implement the "Industry 4.0" concept, with chemical reactions managed by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Thursday.
According to the report, this integration will minimize the human factor and ensure high precision in chemical compound formulations. By adopting the "Industry 4.0" framework, the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant will evolve from a traditional industrial enterprise into a high-tech hub connected to a global digital ecosystem.
In this "smart" manufacturing environment, industrial internet and Big Data analytics will allow for real-time monitoring of phosphorus fertilizer production, optimize raw material and electricity consumption, and prevent production bottlenecks.
Furthermore, the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant, in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, is conducting research to develop agents that not only nourish plants but also prevent soil salinization and improve soil structure.
In October 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov launched the construction of this new complex, which is designed to produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually.
