
On March 4, 2026, as part of a training course organized for youth by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) country office in Turkmenistan, students of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University discussed the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovations in developing society and the economy.
During the seminar, UNDP international expert Mr. Tristan Post spoke about how AI is transforming education, public services, and the future job market, emphasizing the importance of digital skills, ethics, and the responsible use of technologies.
Participants reviewed the evolution of artificial intelligence from its early stages to modern advanced systems and discussed how automation and new technologies are reshaping the labor market. Special attention was paid to in-demand skills, new professions, and the broader impact of AI on society.
The series of training seminars titled "Youth and Digital Transformation: Innovations for Sustainable Development" is planned for 2026 in cooperation with the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the UNDP and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
