Instructions given to increase natural gas and oil production

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system. During the meeting, the report of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov noted that in January of this year, the work carried out in the country to increase oil and gas production and to expand routes for bringing them to the global market achieved high performance indicators.

According to the “Watan” news program, the State Concern “Turkmennebit” fulfilled the oil production plan by 107.5 percent. During the reporting period, oil refineries fulfilled the oil refining plan by 106.4 percent. The gasoline production plan was fulfilled by 26.5 percent, the diesel fuel production plan by 104.6 percent, the polypropylene production plan by 100 percent, the lubricants production plan by 100 percent, and the liquefied gas production plan by 122.1 percent. The plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 108.3 percent.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of taking the necessary measures to implement the tasks envisaged in the program for the development of the oil and gas industry of the country, and instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to take comprehensive measures to increase the production of natural gas and oil, to develop hydrocarbon deposits, and to consistently increase the production capacity of enterprises in the sector.
