
Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the Closed Joint-Stock Company "Azerbaijan Railways" (ADY), which is part of the "AZCON" holding, visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan. This was reported on the website of the Azerbaijani Embassy.
The port director, Parahat Jumayev, introduced the Azerbaijani delegation to the existing infrastructure, technical capabilities, and transit potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the role of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in developing regional cargo transportation, as well as issues of coordinating development plans for the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. Special attention was paid to the ongoing dredging works.
The participants of the talks emphasized that expanding the connection between the Caspian and Black Seas would contribute to increased cargo turnover and enhance the efficiency of the Middle Corridor.
The parties also noted that synchronized actions between ports located along the Eurasian transport corridor are a key condition for ensuring efficient, fast, and safe cargo transportation through the Middle Corridor.
It is worth recalling that it was previously reported that Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, participated in a quadrilateral meeting held in Ashgabat.
