Livestock breeders in the Lebap region increased meat production in the first two months of 2026, reaching 26.7 thousand tons. This indicator is nearly 2.5% higher compared to the same period last year.
In January–February of this year, Lebap livestock breeders produced 26,700 tons of meat, as reported in Thursday's edition of the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper. The increase in production was achieved through the growth of both cattle and small ruminant populations.
The lambing and kidding season is also actively ongoing in the region's farms. Shepherds plan to receive over 40,000 lambs by the end of the season. High performance is being noted in the "Koytendag" farm (Koytendag district), "Serdar" (Charjew district), "Garagum" (Halach district), and "Tallymerjen" (Dowletli district). Experts emphasize that these results were made possible by the organized wintering of livestock and the timely preparation of sufficient fodder and hay.
