
In January–November 2025, a total of 656 thousand decaliters of mineral and non-alcoholic beverages were produced and supplied to retail outlets in the Lebap region. This figure exceeds the level of the same period last year by more than one thousand decaliters, according to the Monday issue of the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
Compared to the same period last year, production volumes increased by approximately 18 percent. More than two-thirds of total output is accounted for by private-sector enterprises, reflecting their growing role in supplying the domestic market.
During the reporting period, the production of fruit and vegetable products packaged in glass containers also increased by about 18 percent. A total of 130 million 592 thousand standard units were produced, of which 108 million 983 thousand were manufactured by private enterprises.
The private sector continues to maintain a leading position in confectionery production as well. Of more than three thousand tons of confectionery products supplied to the market, only 59 tons were produced by the state sector. Output by private producers increased by 12.8 percent.
In grain processing, the main share still belongs to state-owned enterprises. During the reporting period, 17,175 tons of products were produced, which is approximately 4,000 tons more than in the previous year.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), established in March 2008, is a public organization uniting representatives of the private sector. Along with protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members, the Union contributes to the development of entrepreneurship in the country.
