
The Chairman of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Firas Al-Oda, emphasized that energy, petrochemicals, textile industry, and production of building materials are areas of interest for the country's private sector, and noted the strategic importance of Turkmenistan in cooperation in these fields. Firas Al-Oda stated this on Monday in Kuwait City during a meeting with a Turkmen delegation led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, Mergen Gurdov.
According to the "KUNA" news agency, Al-Oda stressed the need to open new avenues for economic cooperation and strengthen the partnership with Turkmenistan.
Speaking at a reception organized at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry in honor of the Turkmen economic delegation, Al-Oda said that this meeting serves as a practical platform for establishing direct business contacts between companies of the two countries, encouraging joint projects, and creating long-term cooperation.
For his part, Mergen Gurdov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, announced the country's interest in signing a protocol on cooperation with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and developing relations with relevant structures. He also emphasized the strategic importance of Kuwait in accessing the markets of the Gulf countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, a multimedia presentation dedicated to Turkmen goods, tourist facilities, industrial enterprises, and technological companies of the country was held.
