"Let's Read Together!": A Competition Dedicated to UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day to be Held

In the year "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Swift Steeds," a competition titled "Let's Read Together!" is being organized on the occasion of UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day.

The organizers of the competition are the "Culture of Peace" UNESCO Club of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Berkararlyk District Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.

The event will be held on April 23 of this year at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The competition, which will be conducted in English, accepts a total of 3 (three) participants (students/masters) from each higher education institution.

To participate in the competition, each student or master's student must submit the text of a speech based on a selected work of world literature. Each participant must prepare a presentation (no more than 15 slides) and deliver a speech about their chosen literary work. Each student is allotted 5 (five) minutes for their presentation. Accordingly, each part of their performance will be graded up to 5 points based on the following criteria:

• Content of the presentation – up to 5 points;
• Speaking skills – up to 5 points;
• Grammatical accuracy of speech – up to 5 points;
• Oratory and performance skills – up to 5 points.

Total: up to 20 points.
