Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan, Beata Pęksa.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the meeting provided a platform for exchanging views on the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, as well as addressing pressing issues on the international and regional agendas.

Both sides emphasized the importance of regular political dialogue and active mutual efforts to strengthen and broaden partnership between Turkmenistan and the European Union. In this context, particular emphasis was placed on cooperation regarding environmental protection and the preservation of the Caspian Sea ecosystem.
