
On February 17, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tehran), Rolliansyah Soemirat. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials.
The Turkmen side congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this responsible post and expressed readiness to provide all-round assistance and support in the diplomat's work aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in the international arena. The parties expressed their readiness to continue the practice of mutual support for initiatives put forward within the framework of the UN.
At the end of the talks, the parties confirmed their commitment to consistently strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
