
Yesterday, the Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system to review various state matters.
Opening the meeting, the Head of State announced that in honor of the holy Gadyr Gijesi (Night of Power), a pardon was granted to citizens convicted of crimes who had sincerely repented. Secretary of the State Security Council and Chairman of the Commission on Citizenship and Pardons, B. Gundogdyev, reported on the commission's work. Following the report, the President signed a Decree pardoning 336 citizens. He instructed B. Gundogdyev, along with law enforcement leaders, to release the individuals so they could return to their families promptly, and wished them a life of honest labor in service to the Motherland.
Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova then reported on modernizing legislation regarding human rights, licensing, migration, and environmental protection. She highlighted the awarding of the "Ene Mähri" honorary title to mothers and the gifting of new apartments during the March 8th celebrations. Information was also shared regarding meetings with UN representatives and parliamentary visits to Brussels to strengthen ties with the European Parliament.
Deputy Chairman H. Geldimyradov reported on the development of the insurance sector, specifically the mandatory state insurance for wildlife protection inspectors. The President instructed to continue improving the legal framework for insurance.
Deputy Chairman G. Agajanov reported on strengthening the material and technical base of the "Turkmennebit" State Concern to support uninterrupted drilling at promising fields. The President signed a corresponding Resolution.
Deputy Chairman T. Atahallyev detailed seasonal agricultural progress and preparations for the nationwide tree-planting campaign. The President signed a Resolution for the spring planting event.
Deputy Chairman B. Annamämmedow provided updates on road construction projects and the modernization of international transit corridors.
Deputy Chairman N. Atagulyýew presented preparations for Turkmenistan's participation in the "EXPO 2027" World Specialized Exhibition in Belgrade, Serbia, under the motto "Turkmenistan – the Melody of Peace, the Abode of Health."
Deputy Chairman B. Seýidowa reported on preparations for the International Day of Nowruz celebrations to be held in the "Nowruz ýaýlasy" valley in Ahal, featuring cultural performances and traditional exhibitions.
Deputy Chairman B. Mämmedow shared the schedule for international scientific conferences and student Olympiads in April 2026 across various universities, covering sports, economics, languages, and medicine.
Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on developing cooperation with the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Proposals included forming a working group to join the Convention on Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic and organizing IMO leadership visits in 2026.
Deputy Chairman B. Annaýew reported on digital economy advancements and the improvement of interdepartmental electronic data exchange.
Concluding the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants health, family well-being, and success in their work for the prosperity of the Motherland.
