
Yesterday, the honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system. Several issues related to state life were considered.
First, the Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova provided information on the ongoing work to improve the legal framework of our state.
As noted, work continues on the preparation of draft laws related to various aspects of the country's political, economic, and cultural life, as well as introducing amendments and additions to existing laws to improve the living standards of our people. The results of the visit of the delegation led by the Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to Georgia on February 23-24 were also discussed. During the visit, meetings were held with the President, Prime Minister, and Speaker of the Parliament of the friendly country. They conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the honorable President and the Hero-Arkadag.
The head of the national parliament reported on the high-level organization of celebrations for International Women's Day in Ashgabat, Arkadag, and the provinces, including the presentation of the honorary title of Turkmenistan "Ene mähri" and the keys to modern housing to mothers who have given birth to and raised eight or more children.
The honorable President emphasized the importance of continuing to improve the country's legislation and the need for high-quality preparation and execution of International Women's Day events.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on the activities of the "Turkmenstandartlary" Main State Service. As noted, systematic measures are being taken to ensure high-quality standardization and certification, including the step-by-step international accreditation of testing laboratories. Cooperation with major international accreditation bodies within the framework of bilateral agreements was also highlighted. In this regard, a proposal was submitted for the head of state's consideration.
The honorable President, after hearing the report, stressed the importance of systematically improving the work of the "Turkmenstandartlary" service. Our Arkadagly Hero Serdar supported the proposal to improve work according to international standards and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to carry out the necessary tasks.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Agajanov reported on the work carried out by the "Türkmengaz" State Concern on infrastructure projects. It was emphasized that necessary steps are being taken to increase the export potential and expand the routes of Turkmen natural gas. Cooperation with leading foreign companies is being developed to increase efficiency. The Vice Prime Minister presented a corresponding proposal for the head of state's consideration.
The honorable President noted that work is underway to increase export potential and create strategic reserves of commercial gas. The head of state approved the proposal to improve the efficiency of the "Türkmengaz" State Concern and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to proceed with the work.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyew reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the provinces.
As highlighted in the report, maintenance of wheat fields is ongoing according to agrotechnical standards, including fertilization and irrigation. Preparations for cotton sowing, including land leveling and seed preparation, are also underway. Necessary measures are being taken for the sowing of spring vegetables and potatoes.
In accordance with the National Forest Program of Turkmenistan, work continues on environmental protection and turning the Homeland into a garden. Forestry departments under the Ministry of Environmental Protection are preparing seedlings for the spring tree-planting season.
The honorable President emphasized the importance of comprehensive agricultural development and proper wheat field maintenance. He instructed the Vice Prime Minister to ensure timely agrotechnical work in the cotton fields.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamämmedow reported on the further improvement and beautification of the capital city. Measures are being taken to turn Ashgabat into a garden city, create comfortable conditions for residents and guests, and organize holiday celebrations at a high level. Renovation and landscaping around social and cultural buildings, parks, and fountains are ongoing.
The honorable President stated that International Women's Day and the National Spring Festival will be widely celebrated in Ashgabat and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to continue the city's decoration and improvement works.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyýew reported on the preparations for the exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the international forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan." About 70 foreign companies and international organizations have registered so far. The Vice Prime Minister presented a proposal regarding these events.
The honorable President highlighted the importance of the private sector and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to ensure the high-level organization of the exhibition and the international forum.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seýidowa reported on the preparations for International Women's Day celebrations.
Festive events, conferences, and exhibitions are planned across the country, including an exhibition titled "Mother's Lullaby — A Perfect Work" and another dedicated to the craftsmanship of Ogulabat edje. Theatrical performances, film screenings, and concerts are also scheduled.
The honorable President emphasized the importance of organized celebrations and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to ensure high-level preparations for the holiday concert.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mämmedow reported on the development of scientific-medical diplomacy.
Under the leadership of the honorable President, who successfully implements the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag, Turkmenistan has gained positive experience in healthcare, building world-class clinics, and pharmaceutical production. This strengthens the country's international reputation in the medical field.
The honorable President instructed the Vice Prime Minister to prepare the "National Strategy for the Development of Scientific-Medical Diplomacy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052."
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annaýew reported on improving national legislation for road transport in line with international standards. This includes enhancing road safety and adhering to international conventions.
The honorable President approved the proposal to improve control over the working and resting hours of drivers in international transport and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to proceed.
Then, addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the honorable President noted the great role of mothers in protecting the family and raising children. "Their work raises the prestige of our Homeland," said the head of state. Consequently, the honorable President signed a Decree awarding the honorary title "Ene mähri" to mothers of many children.
Our Arkadagly Hero Serdar continued by saying that International Women's Day on March 8 will be widely celebrated. He emphasized the importance of organized ceremonies for awarding the "Ene mähri" title and handing over apartment keys.
Several other important issues of state life were considered, and relevant decisions were made.
Concluding the meeting, the honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants health, family well-being, and success in their work for the prosperity of the Homeland.
