
Yesterday, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Several issues related to state life were considered.
First, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, provided information on work to improve the national legislative framework. It was noted that based on proposals from ministries and sectoral departments, national and international practices are being studied to introduce amendments and additions to the Criminal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, and Code of Administrative Offenses of Turkmenistan, as well as laws regarding migration policy, fishing, and water biological resources. Additionally, credentials were accepted from the newly appointed Ambassador of Indonesia to Turkmenistan. Members of the Mejlis participated in meetings with UN agencies, and a representative of the national parliament visited Turkistan, Kazakhstan, for a UNFPA workshop. The President emphasized the importance of aligning legislation with modern requirements.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on the results of work to present monetary gifts to the women of the country on behalf of the President for International Women's Day. The Head of State signed the relevant Order and instructed the Vice-Premier to organize the solemn presentation of the gifts.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Agajanov reported on strengthening the material and technical base of the "Türkmennebit" State Concern. The President signed a Decree to ensure the smooth operation of the concern's facilities.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on plans to modernize the road transport system, specifically the reconstruction of the Ashgabat—Dashoguz highway and the construction of a new bridge along this route through an international tender. The President approved the proposal.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on the modernization of enterprises under the Ministry of Textile Industry. The President approved proposals to increase production capacity and improve working conditions.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova presented the Schedule of main events for March 2026, including International Women's Day and the National Spring Holiday (Nowruz). Various competitions like "Talyp gözeli" and festive concerts are planned. The President instructed high-level preparations for these celebrations.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mammedov reported on sending students to higher educational institutions in Romania for the 2026-2027 academic year in fields such as IT, medicine, pedagogy, agriculture, and engineering. The President approved the proposal.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the 2026 work plan for cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the OSCE. The plan includes security, economic, environmental, and humanitarian cooperation. The President approved the plan.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annayev reported on the Ministry of Communications' work to implement innovative digital solutions. The President supported the proposals to strengthen the ministry's technical base.
Several other important issues of state life were reviewed, and relevant decisions were made.
