
On February 24, 2026, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, I. Kobakhidze, as part of her official visit to Georgia. The Chairperson of the Mejlis conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention was paid to inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is of great importance in strengthening bilateral political dialogue and developing interstate relations. The importance of strengthening interaction and partnership within the framework of international organizations was also emphasized. The participants of the meeting noted the immense role of regular meetings in strengthening cooperation, maintaining an open dialogue, and creating a solid foundation for the further development of mutually beneficial relations. At the end of the talks, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
