Meeting of the heads of foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan and the UAE held

On February 3, 2026, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of Turkmen-Emirati relations in the political-diplomatic and trade-economic spheres.

The head of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy agency emphasized the importance of the ongoing World Government Summit, aimed at making a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between states.

The diplomats noted the effectiveness of cooperation between the foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan and the UAE. Mutual support-based cooperation between the two countries within international and regional organizations was also particularly highlighted.

In addition, the parties discussed events planned to be held this year as part of expanding bilateral political relations.
