Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China

On March 23, 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.

Special significance was attached to the recent friendly visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, to the People's Republic of China. It was emphasized that a productive and friendly meeting with the President of the PRC, Xi Jinping, took place during that visit.

During the talks, the diplomats exchanged views on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the aforementioned visit.
