
Yesterday, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the State Security Council. It reviewed the results of the work carried out in the military and law enforcement agencies of the country during the first two months of this year. Additionally, several issues related to ensuring security and tranquility in our independent state, strengthening the material and technical base of military and law enforcement agencies, and further improving their operations were discussed.
First, the Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, B. Gundogdyev, reported on the work carried out since the beginning of the year to successfully fulfill the tasks outlined in the Program for the Development of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. Information was also provided on measures to improve the service and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and to enhance the professional level of officers. After hearing the report, the Honorable President emphasized the importance of continuing programmatic work to improve the country's Armed Forces, systematically studying advanced global experience in implementing comprehensive measures aimed at developing the National Army, and gave specific instructions to the Minister of Defense.
Prosecutor General B. Muhamedov reported on the work carried out since the beginning of the year to monitor compliance with national legislation, actively use digital systems in this field, and increase the professional qualifications of prosecution staff. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief stressed that maintaining prosecutorial supervision over the precise execution of laws, strengthening legality, and ensuring the rights of citizens remain vital tasks.
Minister of Internal Affairs M. Hydyrow reported on measures taken over the last two months to strengthen law and order, prevent offenses and traffic accidents, and comply with fire safety regulations. The Head of State gave specific instructions to continue effective work in maintaining public order and crime prevention.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court, B. Hojamgulyev, reported on the results of the work performed within the framework of the development program of the judiciary, the introduction of digital systems, and the progress of judicial reforms. The Honorable President highlighted the importance of protecting state and public interests and the rights of citizens while improving the quality of judicial operations.
Next, the Minister of National Security, D. Meredov, reported on the work performed in January-February to ensure peace and stability in our Motherland. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief gave instructions to effectively continue protecting the constitutional order and national interests.
The Head of the State Border Service, I. Ilamanow, reported on measures to ensure the reliable protection of the sacred borders of the Motherland and the strengthening of the material and technical base of the border troops. The Honorable President noted that the state border is a border of friendship and brotherhood and ordered the continuation of effective protection and modernization of the border service.
Minister of Justice M. Taganov reported on improving national legislation by incorporating international experience, professional development, and digitalization. The Head of State noted the need for effective legislative improvement and public awareness campaigns regarding the law.
The Chairman of the State Customs Service, M. Hudaykulyev, reported on the results of work for January-February, specifically focusing on increasing efficiency through digital systems and modern technologies. The President instructed to continue effective control over customs regulations at checkpoints.
The Chairman of the State Migration Service, A. Sazakow, reported on improving the quality of migration services and strengthening the department's material and technical base. The Honorable President emphasized keeping the improvement of migration services at the center of attention.
Addressing the participants, the Honorable President stated that in accordance with the defensive Military Doctrine, consistent measures are being implemented to ensure the security and territorial integrity of our independent, permanently Neutral state, to strengthen defense capabilities, and to improve the living conditions of defenders of the Fatherland and their families.
Other important issues were considered at the meeting, and relevant decisions were made. Closing the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan wished the participants good health and great success in their responsible work for the peaceful and happy life of the people.
