Mercedes-Benz has officially announced an update to its flagship S-Class sedan. The new car will be unveiled at the end of January 2026.
The vehicle will feature a new modern design, an upgraded multimedia system, and more advanced features. The main innovation is the enhanced “Drive Pilot” autopilot system. Previously, the system was limited to 95 km/h, but the new version allows the car to drive autonomously at speeds of up to 110 km/h.
The new Drive Pilot is equipped with advanced sensors, cameras, radar, and lidar, ensuring high accuracy and safety. Mercedes-Benz emphasizes that these improvements are especially noticeable on long distances and high-speed roads, where speed and stability of the autopilot are critical.
It is important to note that this update will only be available for new S-Class models. Previously produced vehicles will remain limited to 95 km/h and cannot be upgraded with the new components.
