A museum is a place where rare treasures are preserved, allowing people to explore the history, traditions, and culture of any nation. In recent years, developed cities have built hotels, resorts, and airports that combine architecture with technological advancements. Modern museums are also part of these innovations.
Milwaukee Art Museum, USA. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, this museum houses 25,000 works of art. One of the largest museums in the USA, it consists of three separate buildings. The latest building, completed in 2001 (the first in 1957, the second in 1975), is a steel-and-glass structure called the “Quadracci Pavilion.” The modern design was created by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The glass pavilion features 66-meter wings that open and close automatically, with sensors measuring wind speed.
Museo Soumaya, Mexico. This famous building in Mexico City attracts attention with its beautiful appearance and night illumination. The museum consists of two buildings, the main one located on Plaza Carso.
The six-story building, 46 meters tall, is covered with 16,000 hexagonal tiles. Architect Fernando Romero drew inspiration from water. The museum houses over 66,000 art pieces, including sculptures and classical paintings.
Museum of the Future, UAE. Considered one of the most complex architectural projects, the Museum of the Future is in Dubai.
Situated on an artificial island, the building resembles a torus-shaped surface. Construction began in 2018 and was completed in 2022. The 7-story museum hosts exhibitions, showcases technological innovations, and organizes public events.
