The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to integrate artificial intelligence technology into spacecraft destined for Venus to study the planet in detail, according to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.
Two major missions are planned:
- DAVINCI — studying the composition and history of Venus’ atmosphere.
- VERITAS — high-resolution mapping of the surface and understanding why Venus evolved differently from Earth.
Isaacman said: “We want more autonomy in robotic missions. Venus missions may include AI capabilities.”
