
Yesterday, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Political Affairs under the Prime Minister of Malaysia. During the meeting, the parties discussed strategic directions for multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Hero-Arkadag congratulated the guest and all employees of "PETRONAS" on the 30th anniversary of the Malaysian company's operations in Turkmenistan. During this period, the company has established itself as a reliable partner in developing the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea and training local specialists.
Within the framework of the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, a large-scale scientific-practical conference and exhibition are planned, covering joint projects in the Caspian Sea and the training of highly qualified national personnel for the oil and gas industry.
During the meeting, the Malaysian side expressed great interest in participating in new projects for the development of the "Galkynysh" field, one of the world's largest gas fields.
Important Step: During the visit, a Protocol on commercial terms was signed between the "Türkmennebit" State Concern and "PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd." Furthermore, a "Production Sharing Agreement" is expected to be signed in the future.
The parties agreed to strengthen partnership not only in the fuel and energy sector but also in implementing new projects in the gas chemical industry, continuing the education of Turkmen students in Malaysia's leading universities, and introducing digital systems and environmental safety technologies into production.
Hero-Arkadag sent his warm greetings and best wishes to the top leadership of Malaysia — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
