
Pakistan and Turkmenistan reaffirmed their commitment to developing cooperation in the energy sector and strengthening regional connectivity. These issues were discussed during a meeting between Pakistan's Federal Minister for Energy, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, held in Islamabad on Tuesday.
According to the APP news agency, the parties focused on discussing matters of mutual interest, placing a high priority on the strategically important energy sector.
Special attention was given to the development of regional connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asian countries. The parties noted the importance of establishing sustainable energy infrastructure and promoting cross-border projects, viewing them as vital indicators for ensuring long-term energy security and economic integration in the region.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue closely coordinating efforts in the energy sphere. The development of this cooperation is expected to benefit the mutual interests of Pakistan and Turkmenistan, as well as contribute to the promotion of stability and economic growth in the region.
