The works of Mukam Bekgylyjov, a third-year student at the Faculty of Turkmen Language and Literature of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, have been published in the Russian literary-artistic journal "Sura," published in Penza. The collection of poems by the young author was translated into Russian by the well-known poet and journalist Andrey Novikov. Mukam's creative work, which primarily focuses on themes of life and love, is already well known to Turkmen readers through national press publications.
In addition to his studies, the young man actively participates in the social life of the university and successfully performs in various creative competitions. His poetry is distinguished by its depth of meaning and sensitivity, which has previously opened doors for him to the pages of foreign publications. For example, at the beginning of this year, a collection of Mukam Bekgylyjov's poems was featured in the Moscow journal "Literary Acquaintances" and the Belarusian literary-artistic journal "Metamorphoses."
Andrey Novikov's translation work has allowed a wide range of readers in Russia and Belarus to become acquainted with the modern poetic voice of Turkmenistan.
