President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe Arrives in Turkmenistan

On August 4, 2025, a delegation led by the President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Mr. Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the third international conference of the United Nations on Landlocked Developing Countries. Upon the arrival of the special flight at Turkmenbashi International Airport, President Carlos Manuel Vila Nova and his delegation were warmly and ceremoniously welcomed in accordance with the ancient hospitality traditions of the Turkmen people.

The participation of the head of state of São Tomé and Príncipe in this international forum further enhances the global significance of the conference. This visit is also expected to create new opportunities to expand mutual cooperation among landlocked countries, as well as to develop joint solutions for sustainable development and global issues.
